Davis is a small city in central Murray County, Oklahoma, set within the Arbuckle Mountains. It sits about 23 miles north of Ardmore, 19 miles south of Pauls Valley, and roughly eight miles west of Sulphur, the county seat. Incorporated in 1898, the city is home to nearly 3,000 residents. Despite its size, it carries an outsized regional presence as the gateway to one of Oklahoma's best-known natural attractions.
